Are you and your pet prepared in case of a disaster?

In Oklahoma, we have all faced the prospect of dealing with tornados, floods, fire and who knows what else.  The one thing to do in any serious situation:   Take your pets with you!

Make sure your pets have current ID.  Dogs should always wear a collar and tags.  

• Have a plan

• Know what your veterinarian's plans are

• Keep vaccinations & records current

• Have restraints ready

• Rotate a supply of food, water and medications

• Keep First Aid supplies on hand with directions

• Know the locations of other veterinary hospitals and animal shelters such as Tulsa SPCA & Tulsa City Animal Shelter

• Keep a lost dog kit ready.  Have pictures and "Lost Dog" signs ready.

• Be prepared to help others
